Mailer Wins

hall-of-fameNorman Mailer has been inducted into the Brooklyn Hall of Fame, thanks in no little part to Society members, I’m sure. As you can see by the final scores, Mailer led the pack with 709 votes — 19 more than Walt Whitman. They state:

Over 4,000 votes were cast! They have been tallied and it is with great pleasure that we announce the first 5 inductees into the Brooklyn Hall of Fame. They are: Walt Whitman, Jackie Robinson, Arthur Miller, Norman Mailer, and Lena Horne.

I’m not sure what order the winners are in (date of birth?), but I’m glad Mailer is among them. Thanks, again, to all Society members for making this happen.
