News The Mailer Review

A New Journal for Mailer Studies

At the fourth annual conference in Provincetown (October 12-14, 2006), the membership voted to establish The Mailer Review, co-sponsored by the University of South Florida. NMS Board member Phillip Sipiora is the founding editor of the Review, which will publish its inaugural issue in October, 2007. It is the Society’s intention that the Review be one of the finest journals now published that is devoted to an author.

One issue is planned for the first year; two may be published in subsequent years. All submissions will be blind read by academic specialists.

Financial contributors are needed and welcome. All contributions are tax-deductible and checks, made out to The Norman Mailer Society, should be sent to:

David Light, Treasurer, NMS
75 Jennings Lane
Windham, CT 06280

All contributions will be acknowledged. Contributions from $100 to $249 will be listed in the inaugural number; contributions of $250 or more will be listed as “foundational gifts.” A limited number of bound copies of the inaugural number will be available for purchase.

Please send editorial queries, which are welcome, to Dr. Phillip Sipiora <editor [at] mailerreview [dot] org>.
