Conference 2010 in Sarasota, FL

We are excited to announce that the 2010 Norman Mailer Society Conference will be held at the University of South Florida Sarasota Campus on November 4, 5 and 6 (you are encouraged to arrive on Wednesday, November 3). The theme of the Conference is “Mailer and Hemingway.”
Lodging will be at the Sarasota Airport Holiday Inn. Rooms can be reserved for $87 / night and will include a cooked-to-order breakfast. Below is a link that will connect you to the Sarasota Airport Holiday Inn. A limited number of rooms have been blocked for those attending the 2010 NMS Conference. You are encouraged to book your room by September 1 and no later than October 3; the registration group code is NMS for the discounted rate of $87/night.

Norris Church Mailer, author of A Ticket to the Circus, a memoir of her thirty-three year relationship with Norman Mailer, will speak on Friday, November 5.
J. Michael Lennon, authorized biographer of Norman Mailer, will speak on November 5.
John Hemingway, grandson of Ernest Hemingway and author of Strange Tribe: A Family Memoir, will be the luncheon banquet speaker on November 5.
Jules Feiffer, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist and confidant of Norman Mailer, will be the dinner banquet speaker on November 6.
