Society member and newly-elected Board member Matt Hinton is profiled in the Times Leader. Mary Biebel writes:
The Norman Mailer Society has five officers and 19 board members, and if you asked them all to roll up their sleeves, how many, do you suppose, would reveal a tattoo that celebrates the prolific author?
Well, there’s at least one.
“I showed my fealty to the team,” said Matthew S. Hinton, of Forty Fort, whose upper left arm sports a caricature of Mailer’s face with a “Mailer for Mayor” slogan.
Hinton, who is assistant director of the Student Success Center and adjunct English faculty member at Misericordia University, was recently elected to the Norman Mailer Society’s executive board during its three-day conference in Macon, Ga.
“It’s quite the honor,” he said of his election to the board. “I’m so happy to be part of it.”Mary Therese Biebel
