The Norman Mailer Society was organized in May 2003, when an interim board of seven chose J. Michael Lennon as its first president. Since then the membership has elected a Board of Directors of twelve to twenty-four members to staggered three-year terms (see the By-Laws). Years are calendar years of service, drawn from the minutes of the Society’s meetings and its board rosters; “c.” marks a year the records leave uncertain.
