- 2 — In Slate, Troy Patterson revisits Mailer’s notorious appearance on The Dick Cavett Show: “The Guest from Hell.”

- 19 — The first issue of The Mailer Review, from the University of South Florida and the Society and edited by Phillip Sipiora, arrives and is greeted as a testament to Mailer’s headlong life.

- 6 — USA Today runs the first chapter of On God: An Uncommon Conversation under J. Michael Lennon’s byline, as Lennon explains how the book grew out of his conversations with Mailer. Read the excerpt.
- 13 — In Publishers Weekly, Dermot McEvoy remembers Mailer the 1969 mayoral candidate, by way of Joe Flaherty’s Managing Mailer: “A Different Remembrance: Norman Mailer, Politician.”
