Conference Program Draft and Reminders
Dear Society Members and Conference Attendees,
Greetings, all. I hope this email finds you well, especially if you had a recent encounter with Hurricane Helene. I know some Society members have been affected, and we hope you get these resolved soon.
Speaking of the hurricane, you might have noted that the west coast of Florida was affected by the weather, and the Sirata Resort is currently closed due to clean-up efforts. Since we're still over a month out from our conference, our resort contact does not anticipate any difficulties with our conference, but I will keep you appraised of any changes or issues.
Our intrepid conference coordinator Enid Stubin has made the first draft of the 2024 conference program available for review (thanks, Enid!). While we still have some flexibility, please only let us know if we overlooked something or if your plans have changed. As you can see, this is shaping up to be an excellent conference. If you would like to moderate a panel, please let me or Enid know. We will likely reach out to a few of you about moderating in the near future.
There’s still time to register for the conference and secure accommodations. This information may be found on the Conference 2024 page. Note, too, that information about shuttle service and other questions you might have may also be found on the linked page. If you still have questions, feel free to reach out.
We are still trying to secure a book table for the event, but so far have had little luck. We will keep trying. However, if you have a book to sell or promote, please bring copies with you to the conference. Definitely let me know if you have a recent book that you would like to include for sale at the conference in case we are able to make that happen. I will also make a page on the web site with links for purchase.
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in November.
Best regards,
Jerry
